Where can I use Solo? Are you losing business? Recent Switch research shows that inadequate display can result in retailers losing valuable business - here's why... ...many retailers think that customers will assume their cards are accepted, but 67% of Solo cardholders and 72% of Switch cardholders questioned believe it is important for decals to be displayed both in the window and inside unfamiliar shops... …lack of logo display is a major issue amongst new Solo cardholders in particular, 43% of whom said they always look for the logo in the window before attempting to use their card… …one in ten of all the Solo cardholders questioned said they will walk away from a store where logos are not clearly displayed, and actively seek outlets where they are confident that their card will be accepted… …reassurance is particularly important for teenage customers, who are using their cards for the first time - over 50% of Solo cardholders are not really comfortable asking if their card is accepted… …of all those surveyed, 20% will go elsewhere if they do ask and the store doesn’t take their card… …displaying payment logos at point-of-sale is also very important: even Switch cardholders, who are otherwise confident about usage, like the reassurance of seeing evidence of their preferred payment method inside the store… …shoppers may often fail to notice payment logos because there is little uniformity in the way they are displayed. Where logos are not displayed, or not seen, consumers have to guess whether their card is accepted and may jump to the wrong conclusion, even in big stores… …So, let customers know you welcome their business: to request up-to-date payment stickers contact your bank.
